'Don't even think about it' by Sarah Mlynowski

Welcome back everyone! How are you? Hope you are well xx
Today, I am going to be talking about one of my favourite books at the moment, and its called 'Don't Even Think about it' by Sarah Mlynowski. (hence the title of this blog) ha.

So, I read this a while ago, and since I give out good recommendations at my school, all my friends read it and loved it. So I thought I would review it. Here is the blurb:

We weren't always like this. We used to be average New York City high school sophomores. Until our homeroom went for flu shots. We were prepared for some side effects. Maybe a headache. Maybe a sore arm. We definitely didn't expect to get telepathic powers. But suddenly we could hear what everyone was thinking. Our friends. Our parents. Our crushes. Now we all know that Tess is in love with her best friend, Teddy. That Mackenzie cheated on Cooper. That, um, Nurse Carmichael used to be a stripper.
Since we've kept our freakish skill a secret, we can sit next to the class brainiac and ace our tests. We can dump our boyfriends right before they dump us. We know what our friends really think of our jeans, our breath, our new bangs. We always know what's coming. Some of us will thrive. Some of us will crack. None of us will ever be the same.
So stop obsessing about your ex. We're always listening.

Its a very enjoyable read. I would sum it up for you, but the blurb did this very well! Its about some teenagers who develop telepathy. They learn that no-one ever says the truth to your face, and it will make some of them stronger, and some of them will never trust anyone again.

Its quite an easy read, and its not scary, nor boring. I found it got really good in the middle, but had a bit of a poor ending. It makes you fall in love with the characters and learn how fear, confusion and betrayal effects them.

I think its a really good story line, and they have developed it very well. I love the story, and how it is written, by the whole group of people who develop the telepathy. Its very easy to read and truthful, even though its a crazy story.

Thanks for reading and comment if you have read this or are going to buy it!
Thank so much for reading guys,
Love you!

'Stolen' Lucy Christopher

Hi! So I started this book 'Stolen' yesterday afternoon and finished it this morning. I read quite fast, but for some reason I could not put this down. Its quite hard for me to write about this book, since its a very good book, but I did not enjoy reading it. Anyway, I will get into that more later, but here is the blurb:

IT HAPPENED LIKE THIS.
I was stolen from an airport. Kidnapped. Taken from everything I knew, everything I was used to. Imprisoned by sand and heat, dirt and danger. And he expected me to love him.
This is my story. A letter to my captor.

If you want to find this book in a bookshop, this is the cover I read it from.

But there is another cover which is like this:

I found this book very difficult to read. Not in the sense of the words were particularly hard, but the story line made me very sad. Its about a 16 year old girl, and she is kidnapped by a man who apparently has been stalking her for 6 years. Now I know what you are thinking. What a creep. But as the story goes on, I found myself loving him, as he is a confused, alone man, who wanted company of the girl he loved and didn't know how else to get it.  I haven't stopped thinking about it since I read it.

The reason I read it so quickly, was because yes, it was very gripping and a very good book. But I wanted to read it so I could finish it, and then stop thinking about it. But I didn't. It didn't end like I wanted it to, and it made me sad. I don't know what more I can say without running the whole book, so I think you should go and read it!!

I think what makes this book different, is that you don't really understand your feelings for the kidnapper. You love him, but you can't. Aghh, I need you to read this book!

Please comment down below what you thought if you read it, and I will reply, because I think you will understand my feelings better as you really need to read it to understand.

Thanks for reading, hope to see you soon!

Teen Vogue

Hey guys! How are you? Thanks for coming back, I really appreciate it.
So today I am going to be writing about Teen Vogue. I bought it at the airport when I was flying, and it cost around £3. Its not very long, this issue did not have any samples or anything like that in it. It did not come with any free things on the front (:((((((, oh come on you know you love them) And here is a picture of the cover of October 2014 issue.

Its a real shame and a disappointment for me to say I was not impressed. I have read this magazine once before and was not impressed but I thought it was just that issue but it was this one too. I don't know if I have just been very unlucky with the months I picked up or if it just the magazine but I will not be buying it again. This was quite surprising to me, as I love Vogue. I don't know if this has anything to do with the quality of the magazine, but Teen Vogue is actually much smaller than normal magazines (length ways). It is around an inch/2 inches smaller than vogue, but that makes the writing much smaller and the pictures more squished.
I thought the whole entire thing was adverts, and I know that most magazines have lots of adverts but I didn't come across a single page that I didn't think was an advert. If there were any articles the writing were so small that I thought it was just the terms and conditions of the ones next to it. The adverts were actually good adverts, but it comes to a certain point where you want to read an actual article.
I was excited to read the '5 genius liner ideas' which was mentioned on the front. They were all the same style and I wanted a tutorial on how to wear them and apply them, but it just was just 5 pages on 1 big picture per 2 pages. Here is a picture of a couple of the ideas which it showed on the magazine, and comment what you think about them.

And each of these pictures took up around 2 pages each. And it took me around 30 seconds to look at them. I didn't even realise that this was the article until I went and looked again. I just thought it was another advert. I might be wrong, but this magazine was not what I thought it would be.
Sorry Teen Vogue!!
I will still be buying Vogue though as I LOVE it, (I mean how gorgeous did Taylor Swift look on the front??!!)
(hehe-lol)

I promise, I not trying to be horrible, but this is just my opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone. If you have read it, please comment what you thought, and if you would like to go and buy it, please go ahead, but please tell me what you thought.

It would be amazing if you could let me know of some books or magazines or anything you want and I will write about it, after reading it.

Thanks for reading,
love you guys!!

- 'A little in love' by Susan Fletcher -

'A little in love' by Susan Fletcher

Have any of you seen 'Les Miserables'? Well this is Eponine's story from that play. I haven't seen the play but that didn't make a difference I don't think, and I still understood it. I am going to write you out the blurb, just so you get an idea of what the book is about.

                                                                            Paris, 1832.
A street girl lies alone in the darkness, clutching a letter to her heart.

Eponine remembers being a child: her swing and the peach tree, and the  baby brother which she loved. But mostly she remembers being miserable. Taught to lie and cheat, and to hate the one girl, Cosette, who might have been her friend.

Now, at sixteen, the two girls meet again and Eponine has one more chance. But what is the price of friendship - the love of a boy?

So I am going to sum up this book in 3 words, which I am going to do for every review.
Review in 3 words: cruel, beautiful, deep.

This book is about a girl who has it all, but is taught to be cruel to everyone around her and her family teachers her that kindness gets you nowhere. She is horrible to the poor girl who could have been her friend and is made into a slave. She tries to be good, but her family hates her for it and she ends up doing something she will carry around in her heart for the rest of her life. When she finally falls in love, she finds herself doing what she should have done this whole time.
Be kind.
She does everything she can to make him happy, no matter what it takes.

I found this book quite depressing, as Eponine's personality was very sweet, but growing up the way she did, she turns into a horrible little girl on the outside, but never on the inside. And she hates herself for it which leads her into a different person.

Rating this book out 5: 3

Thanks for reading!

Hello x

Hello everyone! Thanks for looking at my blog. I started this blog very simply because I love reading and want to share my love with other people! I think its quite hard to find good books to read but I don't think that should stop you reading! I read everything, so I am going to be doing reviews on not just books but magazines and other blogs too. If you want to send me any books you would like me to try out, just comment on any of my blogs and I will defiantly read that and do a review on it for you! That would be amazing. I started another blog about beauty which all my friends are doing, but I was just copying them when I did that so I have been encouraged to do my own original thing! I know I am going to enjoy writing this and hope you will enjoy reading it! Will be posting a (proper) blog soon so come back soon!
